PR 6
Olivetti Tecnost Systems Division developed a multifunctional peripheral, identified with the name PR6, according to Poste Italiane specifications which required a unique peripheral capable of handling all the activities related to bill handling. Some 30.000 units have been installed and operate throughout the whole Italian territory. |
The application that takes advantage of the PR6 works in the multi-purpose counter for payment of pre-marked or handwritten bills.
The product is able to handle the complete payment transaction with all the operations involved: printing, data reading, and data verification. These functions enable the system to automatically handle activities related to the certification of the payment and certainty of transaction completion.
